I walked into a room at our wedding venue the night before our wedding to find an uncovered (yellow, wonky, covered in glitter spray) cake and I presumed it belonged to the wedding party from that day. I said ‘What an ugly cake’ to which Russell replied ‘It’s ours!’. Well needless to say I was mortified and pretty devastated (perhaps a little bridezilla by this point). So we didn’t have a wedding cake- until 4 years later at my surprise 30th birthday that was. However my family will never let me forget ‘cake-gate’, as we named it, and I wouldn’t want to as it’s a part of our special day we can (now) look back and laugh about. Although it was not quite so funny at the time.
OUR WEDDING DAY WALK

A special memory from our wedding day was receiving an elleroo bracelet from my husband, at the most perfect moment. Enjoying a little time to ourselves after the ceremony, we went for a walk around the reception grounds, holding hands as man and wife. It was a lovely surprise which meant so much.
