Caring for your jewellery
Your elleroo jewellery should be handled with care at all times, it’s as unique as you are so treat with kindness.
Silver and other precious metals are prone to tarnish. This oxidising process on the surface of jewellery is a natural occurrence but some substances in our daily lives can tarnish metals more quickly, such as the natural oils on our hands, soap, hairspray, perfume, food and perspiration.
Jewellery should be stored away from sunlight and heat. Our elleroo display boxes are perfect for storage. Another option is to use a tarnish-resistant pouch.
We recommend that you use a good quality jeweller’s silver cloth regularly as part of your jewellery cleaning routine for precious metals. We include one of our silver cloths with your jewellery purchase to get you started.
As is the general rule for high quality jewellery, we recommend that you do not wear elleroo jewellery whilst bathing, whilst in bed or during sporting activities. You should always remove jewellery before showering or swimming as metals can react with chemicals and chlorine.
Never allow leather to get soaked through. Wet leather will stay damp inside and deteriorate from within, this could loosen the bond within the clasp and strips, affecting the strength and look of the leather. As with all jewellery, the straps, links and clasps can be opened or broken if not treated with care.
Please check your jewellery carefully when you receive it and contact us within 7 days if it is delivered faulty or damaged. For further information please refer back to our Terms & Conditions.
